Richard Marrottee, OD

Dr. Richard Marrotte, OD, received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Connecticut and went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a board-certified optometric physician in Riverview, Florida and has held licenses in both Massachusetts and California. Dr. Marrotte has been practicing optometry for nearly 30 years in the Boca Raton, Florida area and his specialties include keratoconus, neuro-optometry, and contact lenses.

Dr. Marrote served on the Consultative Medical Staff at the Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida for over 13 years providing Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation, as well as primary eye care. He is a certified LASER Vision Correction consultant, has assisted in over 600 LASER refractive procedures and was a previous member of the Board of Directors for the TLC-LASER Center in Boca Raton.

Dr. Marrote has served as a Senior Board Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and as a State of Florida Board of Optometry Examiner. He currently holds the title of Medical Director for Clarkson Eyecare for both Tampa and Central Florida.

Dr. Marrotte and his wife have 2 children. In his free time, he enjoys weight training, skiing, golfing, and riding his Triumph motorcycle. He says that his "keys to success" are possessing a strong work ethic, a passion for helping people and caring for more than just his patient's "eyes." He currently provides eye care at Clarkson Eyecare in Riverview, FL.
