About James Hollmann

Dr. James Hollmann, OD, joined Clarkson Eyecare in October 2020 and is pleased to be seeing patients at Clarkson Eyecare in Columbia, IL, and Waterloo, IL. Pursuing Optometry was a goal of his early in life, sparked by a visit to a local optometrist in 8th grade.

Dr. Hollman received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) College of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Hollmann graduated with high honors, in addition to being awarded the Missouri Optometric Foundation Dean's Award, the VSP Scholarship Award, and the Wesley Jessen Contact Lens Achievement Award.

Dr. Hollmann is happily married with one son. His interests include cooking, just about any outdoor activity, pets, and teaching Sunday School.
